2016 Anden Pinot Noir

Before this historic parcel was reunited with the rest of Seven Springs, it commanded its own bottling, something that moving forward we will resume to celebrate its unique character. The 2016 is superbly elegant and complex. It pops with fruit, spice, earth and savory all in tandem, from delightfully acerbic notes of Framboise and eucalyptus to deeper mushroom and cigar box mixed with potpourri. Similarly, the wine just swims out on the palate, showing many different facets but in no way crowded, all with a focus that’s buoyed by silkiness and verve. (8/2024)
