Merry & Bright Whites
Although the holiday season is surrounded by red, we believe that rich, round, and beautifully balanced whites merit a place on holiday tables everywhere. Our zesty, acid-forward whites from Evening Land Vineyards are perfect for sipping with festive seafood towers and holiday party appetizers—and they also make for solid go-to gifting options for white wine lovers everywhere.
2019 Summum Chardonnay
Summum Chardonnay is the unofficial tête de cuvée of our lineup at Evening Land Vineyards. Fruit for Summum comes from just 14 vine rows that form the backbone of the Seven Springs Estate. Medium-bodied and bright, the wine is marked by flavors of lemon skin, baked apple, and a touch of sweet spice that lead to a satiny, harmonious finish. For a unique taste of Oregon’s rather untapped potential for high-end Chardonnay, this bottle is it.
2021 Seven Springs Chardonnay
Year in and year out, our Seven Springs Chardonnay remains the foundation to all that we do at Evening Land Vineyards. Crafted entirely from estate-grown fruit, the grapes for this wine come from Burgundian clones rooted in a rockier portion of our Seven Springs vineyard. On the palate, soft flavors of baked stone fruit, green apple skin, lemon cream, toast, and sweet spice lead to an acid-laden finish hinted with notes of white flowers and grilled nuts. Think of it like satiny, silky-smooth sunshine in a glass.
2020 Evening Land White Pinot Noir
Now two years in, our White Pinot Noir has quickly become a staple to Evening Land Vineyards’ annual lineup. With the goal of showing a unique side to this ubiquitous Oregon variety, our White Pinot Noir pours a light copper / salmon-tinged hue in the glass. On the nose, salty, quinine-like aromas laden with notes of white flowers, sea spray, and underripe melon carry over to the palate and mesh with flavors of tart red fruit, white cherry, rose hips, dried thyme, and orange zest. The finish is delicate yet persistent, and the wine promises to pair with a vast array of foods.
