2023 Seven Springs Gamay Nouveau
Like Pinot Noir, Gamay has a storied past at Seven Springs Vineyard, and we consider ourselves fortunate to work with 40-year-old vines and promising young plantings alike. Made in a nouveau style, this wine shows leaner than previous estate Gamays, with buoyant aromas of Strawberry Bon Bon and blood orange alongside graphite and quinine. Medium-bodied and forward, juicy red fruit seesaws with loamy earth through the tense finish. This is a Gamay fit to drink now that will soften beautifully in another year.
