2018 Blanc de Noirs

$65

Our Blanc de Noirs is sourced from a special plot at the very edge of a forest of Douglas firs. There’s a happy confluence of elements here: fewer sunlight hours from a northwestern exposure, plenty cool air and shade from the towering, fuzzy trees, and of course, awe-inspiring beauty. These first two factors are not propitious to growing red Pinot Noir. They are perfect, however, for a Blanc de Noirs of palpable acidity and concentration with delicate mouthfeel.

With a gorgeous salmon color and a constellation of small bubbles rising to the surface, at first glance alone the 2018 Blanc de Noirs is true to the beloved style. The nose and palate bear this out, as white strawberry, tangerine peel, puff pastry and delicate mineral aromas lead to a taste of supple texture with citrusy, almost perfumed qualities and a real punchiness. With more time in the glass the wine’s inherent fruit asserts itself. Confidence and poise: the hallmarks of this bottle, and all great Blancs de Noirs.
