2018 Summum Chardonnay
Although Oregon's claim to fame has long been its Pinot Noir, this exceptional Chardonnay promises to give the reputation a run for its money. Fruit for Summum comes from just 14 vine rows that form the backbone of the Seven Springs Estate, which were formed from ancient volcanic eruptions that sent waves of blazing lava down its hillsides. Today, we're lucky enough to reap the benefits of these fiery blasts, which left us with ideal soils for cultivating grapes. For a peek into Oregon's outstanding potential for great white wines (and what we believe to be the future of the state's viticulture), this bottle is it.
